Dead Space Extraction for Wii Ships: EA

Dead Space is the horror video game released in 2008 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. A prequel for the Wii was in development all this while, and now EA has announced that the game Dead Space Extraction for the Wii has shipped to European retail and will be shipping to North America on September 29, 2009.

“Dead Space Extraction has been such a rewarding project for many different reasons,” Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer on Dead Space Extraction, commented. “We have successfully brought Dead Space’s trademark action horror experience to a new platform while maintaining our studio’s high standards for quality and polish. Dead Space Extraction will be one of the defining action horror games for the Wii.”

Dead Space Extraction is the story of four space colonists trying to escape from their mining vessel when a mysterious infection hits. Keeping the female lead, Lexine alive will be their last hope, in a game which explores the origins of the necromorph invasion. The easy-to-use control system has been build from the ground up specifically for the Wii.

Dead Space Extraction is developed by Visceral Games and is published by EA. The game will be available for the Wii for a maximum suggested retail price of 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,395).
