The Wii remote allows users to hold it as if it were the grip of a tennis racket and play against each other or as a team of two. Players can hit forehand and backhand shots, swinging and twisting the remote. The Wii Tennis Tournament will be held in Mumbai and Indiagames is planning on having it in other metro cities also. After the IPL is moved out of India to Africa, the novel platform will feed the apatite of sports fans.

The first Mumbai Wii Tennis Tournament will have players battling it out by playing the Wii Tennis game and each Wii Tennis match will be a “best of 5 Sets” match. The tournament will be held on April 25, 2009 at a mall at Vashi. The tournament starts at 11 am.
