Bit.Trip Void for WiiWare, Super Mario Kart for VC

This week among the downloadable titles for the Wii, Nintendo sends word of 4 WiiWare titles and 2 Virtual Console games. This week, Bit.Trip Void, Harvest Moon: My Little Shop, Little Tournament Over Yonder and Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 1 are available as WiiWare, while Super Mario Kart and A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia are available for the VC.

Harvest Moon: My Little Shop

Bit.Trip Void for the WiiWare is from Aksys Games for one to four players. It is the next installment in the Bit.Trip saga, and it features a control scheme which is new to the series. In the game players interact with music in totally new ways, and they can even move about the screen wherever they desire. Bit.Trip Void is available for 600 Wii Points.

Harvest Moon: My Little Shop is the second game for WiiWare this week. You find yourself in Clover Town where you take over your Grandparent’s farm and shop. But the town is going through some rough times, and a lot of people are leaving and businesses are struggling. The game challenges you to turn the town’s fortune around, by raising crops and animals, and keeping customers happy. You can use the Wii remote to chop vegetables, roll eggs through mazes and more. Harvest Moon: My Little Shop is for one player and can be downloaded for 1200 Wii Points.

Little Tournament Over Yonder

Little Tournament Over Yonder from Gevo Entertainment, lets you play as a young Prince or Princess, as you lead your team through numerous battles. Planning and strategy is needed to deploy units and launch real-time battles between units. You can even hire new units and train them to gain experience. The game can be played in Single-Player Tournament mode or in a 2-Player Versus match. Little Tournament Over Yonder is available for 800 Wii Points.

Lastly on WiiWare is Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 1. The game is for one player and is a fun, poetic brain trainer for children aged 3 to 6 years. Children will have fun learning the development basics such as numbers, letters, shapes, colours, and more with the merry band of adorable baby animals, the PooYoos. The game features two levels of interactivity and is developed for children who have not yet grasped reading. Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 1 is available for 500 Wii Points.

On the Virtual Console front, firstly we have Super Mario Kart, originally for the Super NES. Buckle up for some frantic kart racing with the iconic Mario. You can select any one of eight characters from the Mario series, and take on three championship cups in three different kart classes. Special power-ups are available throughout the tracks. You can challenge a friend to some kart races or go head-to-head in the Battle Mode arena where the objective is to pop your opponent’s balloons before yours get popped. Super Mario Kart is available for the VC for 800 Wii Points.

A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia is the other game for the VC. Blob comes to search for an Earth boy to save Blobolonia. Jump into an adventure where you can search for treasures in mysterious caverns beneath the earth, and travel to Blobolonia to fight against the evil emperor. Blob has an amazing appetite for jellybeans, and with each flavour, different transformations are possible. Filled with humour and constant surprises, A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia can be downloaded for 500 Wii Points.
