DanceDanceRevolution reveals release date and full song list

Konami has made its niche in the gaming scene with the introduction of well known titles like the Pro Evolution Soccer series, Silent Hill series and Metal Gear series. The very same company now proclaims that DanceDanceRevolution would hit stores on October 27, 2009 for the PS2 and Wii. Bringing the groove to fans of the game, the company also unveils the complete song list for DanceDanceRevolution X2 and DanceDanceRevolution Hottest Party 3.

Players can groove to the tunes of more than 40 songs featuring both classics as well as the latest tracks. The songs that are recorded by the original artists themselves include Ne-Yo- ‘Closer’, Coldplay- ‘Viva La Vida’, Rick Astley- ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’, Lady Gaga- ‘Just Dance’ and Depeche Mode – ‘Enjoy The Silence’. Others consist of Vanilla Ice- ‘Ice Ice Baby’, Natasha Bedingfield- ‘Pocket Full of Sunshine’, Pitbull- ‘I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)’ and Black Eyed Peas- ‘Let’s Get it Started’. Besides these offerings, there are more than 20 songs of original music composed by the development team at Bemani.

DanceDanceRevolution comprises of multiplayer elements complete with a huge lineup of tracks from originals as well as licensed master tracks and new modes. The Wii version of DanceDanceRevolution Hottest Party 3 will exploit the latest Balance Board Mode. The player’s dance moves are detected via the Wii Balance Board and Nunchuk. Gamers who prefer classic gameplay can still utilize the DanceDanceRevolution controller mat.

DanceDanceRevolution X2 fashioned for the PS2 incorporates the new Dice Master Mode. This node lets gamers throw the dice to decide a dance challenge and pry for the ultimate DanceDanceRevolution championship. Players can even show of their dance skills at the DanceDanceRevolution national tournament that is set to occur this December in a few cities across the US. The best of the lot will then battle it out in a dance-off in select GameWorks locals and concludes with the finals held in Las Vegas.
