The Nintendo Wii console has been around for some three years now, having been first been introduced in November 2006. If you remember correctly, earlier there was word that THQ delivered a gold plated Wii to Buckingham Palace to celebrate the launch of its Big Family Games; a ‘Royal Wii’ as it was referred to.
Now although the Nintendo Wii is suited for the causal gamer with its Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers, the folks over at the official StuartHughes web site have come out with a Wii called the Nintendo Wii Supreme, which is hailed as “officially the most unique and expensive in the world”. The console has been designed in Liverpool, UK by Stuart Hughes, and a total of 6 months of precise workmanship has gone into creating this ultimate gaming station.
The Nintendo Wii Supreme boasts of more than 2,500 grams of solid 22 carat gold, while seventy-eight 0.25 carat Flawless diamonds, totaling 19.5 carats, make up the front buttons of the console.
The Nintendo Wii Supreme will be highly coveted as only three of these limited edition gaming consoles will ever be made. Just one will cost 299,995 GBP (approx. Rs. 2.28 crores).
