“Our expanded partnership with LucasArts brings the Star Wars and Nintendo universes together,” commented Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s Executive VP of Sales & Marketing. “These three Super Star Wars games represent fantastic additions to the growing Virtual Console library, and the exclusive Star Wars content on the other Wii Menu channels is sure to have people from different generations having fun and interacting with one another.”

Along with the first three games, there will be a lot of Star Wars-themed content on the Wii channels. Users can submit their best Mii renditions of the Star Wars characters on the ‘Check Mii Out Channel’, while they can vote for various things such as who shot first, Han Solo or Greedo, on the ‘Everybody Votes Channel’.

“Virtual Console on Wii is a great way to make these games available to our fans again, and it’s an awesome opportunity to expose our classic console titles to an entirely new audience,” stated Darrell Rodriguez, president of LucasArts.

More LucasArts games will be revealed in the future. Super Star Wars which has already been released is available for 800 Wii Points, and Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi will also be available for 800 Wii Points each.
