Zoda’s Revenge: StarTropics II up on Wii VC

A few days ago, we had reported that Super Smash Bros was on its way to the Japanese VC. But American VC also gets games every week! This week, Nintendo has put up Zoda’s Revenge: StarTropics II on the American Virtual Console. Maboshi’s Arcade and Cue Sports Pool Revolution grace the WiiWare service.

First up, there is Zoda’s Revenge: StarTropics II for the VC. The adventure game debuted on the Nintendo Entertainment System back in the mid-nineties. The game sees Mike take on evil alien Zoda along with a broader range of weapons and an enhanced play control.

Next up is Maboshi’s Arcade for the WiiWare service. The game not only has three distinct modes but also features simultaneous play across three game windows. The modes are based on shapes such as circle, stick and square. The game also includes support for action replays as well as Mii characters. And yes, a version can also be downloaded on the Nintendo DS.

Lastly, there is the Cue Sports Pool Revolution for the WiiWare. The game from Hudson Entertainment sees gamers use the Wii Remote as a cue. It features modes such as 9 Ball, 8 Ball, Rotation and Snooker. There is also a Puzzle mode. Besides offering support for the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, the game also lets gamers take on their friends. There is even a Practice as well as an edit feature, where a new challenge can be made.

Zoda’s Revenge: StarTropics II for the American VC comes with a price tag of 500 Wii Points. Maboshi’s Arcade and Cue Sports Pool Revolution for the WiiWare service have been priced at 800 Wii Points and 500 Wii Points respectively. All these games are up on the Wii Shop Channel.
