Helix for WiiWare, Ys Book I & II and Samurai Shodown 2 on American VC this week

Music and rhythm games have been very popular with the gamers from the last few years and that’s what Nintendo intends to give them! This week on the WiiWare service, gamers can expect Helix. The Virtual Console gets games like Ys Book I & II and Samurai Shodown 2.

First up, we have the game for WiiWare, which is called as Helix. The music-rhythm title sees gamers do exciting moves such as punches, circles, back fists, hooks and more with their Wiimotes. The game features twenty-six songs as well as three difficulty levels. It also has eye-popping background visuals.

Then we have Ys Book I & II for the VC, which was released on the TurboGrafx16. Gamers play as Adol as they search the island of Esteria to collect clues to unravel the mystery of Ys. They will have to not only fight monsters but also make their way through treacherous areas filled with traps. The game has a wonderful soundtrack along with amazing special effects and magnificent voice acting.

The other game for the VC is Samurai Shodown 2 that was released in the mid-nineties on the NeoGeo. The fighting game basically is about fifteen samurai and their individual quests. It has the famous rage system as well as movement techniques such as back-stepping, rushing forward and ducking. Reiko Chiba has voiced Cham Cham, who is one of the new characters.

Helix for the WiiWare will come with a price tag of 1,000 Wii Points. As for the Virtual Console games, Ys Book I & II costs 800 Wii Points, while the other game, Samurai Shodown 2 comes with a price tag of 900 Wii Points. These games are up on the Wii Shop Channel.
