From the time the Wii Balance Board was displayed at the E3 2007, many game developers and publishers have been toying with ideas to come up with something innovative. It seems that Namco Bandai has figured it out as they sent word about We Ski, a skiing game for the Nintendo Wii.
We Ski is a game that can be played with the Wii Balance Board as well as the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. It will let up to four skiers test their skills on more than twelve runs from the bunny slopes to the most demanding Black Diamonds. The game will include additional skis, poles, goggles and costumes that can be unlocked. We Ski has a complete mountain to explore and features a ski school, freestyle skiing, moguls and slaloms, photography along with an assortment of other events. The game also has night skiing!

He explains, “We are delighted to be the first publisher to offer a realistic and enjoyable skiing experience that can also support the new Wii Balance Board. Namco Bandai is working to entertain both casual gamers and hardcore enthusiasts with a recreation of a beloved sport and pastime.”
We Ski for Nintendo Wii has been developed in-house by Namco Bandai Games. The game is expected to be out in the Spring of 2008. It is nice to see a game like We Ski and let us hope that they can get more games like it, which fully exploit the Wii Balance Board.
