We can’t call this one a rumor! According to scans from the July edition of Nintendo Power, Wii and Nintendo DS gamers would soon be playing Geometry Wars on their consoles. The new game for the Nintendo consoles is being called as Geometry Wars: Galaxies.
Geometry Wars: Galaxies will use the motion controls in the Wii version and touch control in the DS version. And yes, both these games will have multiplayer modes and an “extensive” single-player campaign as well as the original Retro Evolved.
Geometry Wars has always been touted as a Microsoft-exclusive. The game was developed by Project Gotham Racing studio Bizarre Creations, who even put it as a mini game in PGR 3. The game was a huge hit on the Xbox Live and a PC version was also released some time ago.
Nintendo has still not confirmed it, but we are expecting a Geometry Wars: Galaxies announcement any time soon. Keep watching this space for more details.
