Taking the count of available hues to five, new coral pink and ice white colored Nintendo 3DS handhelds will be launched in the UK next month. Formerly, these device colors only came bundled with certain games. But with this release, even individual ones will be offered in the new shades.
The limited edition coral pink 3DS was being offered along with copies of two versions of nintendogs + cats. These include nintendogs + cats: Toy Poodle and New Friends as well nintendogs + cats: French Bulldog and New Friends. On the other hand, the ice white colored device was part of a bundle which was released in the U.K. for Super Mario 3D Land.
While the cosmos black and aqua blue versions of this handheld were available since its launch, a metallic red (flame red in the U.S.) shade was released for retail in September last year. This announcement of the new color came around the same time that the device was endowed with a 80 USD price cut which brought its cost down to 169.99 USD. But perhaps, the most eye-catching among the lot was the limited edition The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary 3DS handheld which was out for a restricted time.
Known for providing gamers with a special no-glasses 3DS experience, this gaming unit recently received a downloadable system update which endowed it with various fresh functions. Among them, the 3D video recording capability was the highlight. Moreover, tweaks were also introduced to the StreetPass and SpotPass features with the update.
The coral pink and ice white colored Nintendo 3DS handhelds are scheduled to hit markets in the U.K. on February 10, 2012.
