Nintendo Downloadable Games Bring Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Demo
A demo version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games can now be downloaded for free by all 3DS owners. Other entries into this week’s Nintendo downloadable games list are Mutant Mudds, Lola’s Alphabet Train, Newton vs. The Horde and Flipper 2: Flush the Goldfish.
The demo of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games precedes the game’s official launch which is slated to take place on February 14. Although it will be available for the 3DS as well as the Wii, this demo is exclusive only for 3DS users and can be downloaded now through the eShop, for free.
Described by its maker to be a 12-bit action platformer full of pixels and platforming fun, Mutant Mudds allows gamers to run, shoot and hover through 40 different levels. Moreover, secret levels can also be accessed by unlocking power-ups.
Another addition to this week’s Nintendo downloadable games comes in the form of Lola’s Alphabet Train. This offering makes for five different alphabet games that have been designed for 3 – 7 year olds. Available in five different languages, this game can be purchased for both the DSi as well as the 3DS.
During the start of this month, Flipper 2: Flush the Goldfish was released in Europe and now it is available for purchase in North America. This game has a fish named Flush setting out to rescue his best friend and owner by using a secret robot suit. It can be downloaded on both the DSi and the 3DS.
Newton vs. The Horde is the only WiiWare to be outed this week. It involves hordes of monsters who are attacking scientists, and asks gamers to squash the big creatures using physics. It retails on the Wii Shop Channel at 500 Points.
Mutant Mudds, from this week’s list of Nintendo downloadable games, can be purchased through the eShop at 8.99 USD (approx. Rs. 450). Lola’s Alphabet Train sells on the DSi Shop at 200 Points and on the eShop at 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 100), while Flipper 2: Flush the Goldfish can be purchased from the same services at 500 Points and 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 250), respectively.
