For all those who’ve forgotten, The Amazing Spider-Man will even have a 3DS version releasing soon, and a free demo of the same has launched through the latest Nintendo downloadable games. An Arcade classic from the 1980s – Donkey Kong Jr., has grabbed a 3DS port, while another iconic game has made its way onto the Wii’s Virtual Console in the form of Mega Man X2.
Donkey Kong Jr. is one of the few early games from Nintendo that portrayed Mario as an antagonist. The fan-favorite character has kidnapped and imprisoned Donkey Kong in a cage. And playing as the latter’s son, gamers must make their way through the puzzled worlds in order to rescue the large ape. A total of four different environments are available to be jumped into within this title.
Another 3DS exclusive releasing this week is Mad Dog McCree which is a western gunslinging title. Gamers will be asked to stop the title character in his tracks, as he tries to pursue his evil intensions. On the DSi front, Devil Band – Rock the Underworld has been released, allowing players to defeat monsters using powerful music equipments.
7 Wonders II is the second DSiWare launched via the latest Nintendo downloadable games. This title provides gamers with a chance to build the 7 Wonders of the World. The 1994 SNES title, Mega Man X2 is the only piece of content arriving for the Wii this week. This Virtual Console entrant has players guiding Mega Man X through eight stages, as he tries to search for and destroy the remaining Mavericks, gain their powers and uncover the mysterious entity guiding them all.
The only free content from this week’s Nintendo downloadable games is the demo of The Amazing Spider-Man. While Donkey Kong Jr. sells on the eShop at 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 280), Mad Dog McCree is placed on the same service at 7.99 USD (approx. Rs. 445). 7 Wonders II retails on the DSi Shop at 800 Points and Devil Band – Rock the Underworld is priced at 200 Points. Lastly, Mega Man X2 can be purchased for the Wii at 800 Points.
