Alongside the weekly WiiWare releases, Nintendo is bringing four exciting new games for its DS handheld console this week. These include a rich military strategy title Glory Days – Tactical Defense, a pugilistic animal brawling game Animal Boxing, the amusing card-play driven The Seller and a bright puzzle game, Alien Puzzle Adventure.
Glory Days – Tactical Defense published by odenis studio puts players amidst of a chaos devised with howling sandstorms across barren plains and violent storms forming on the horizon. Gamers will repel waves of enemies utilizing their strategic skills and several weapons to destroy enemy planes and tanks. Glory Days – Tactical Defense features 3D field management, dynamic music, up to 300 units in real time and a 60-frames-per-second 3D engine.
Next up on the list of DSiWare offerings this week is Animal Boxing by Gammick Entertainment. Animal Boxing is reported to be one of the first games that will have players upturn their DSi devices to enjoy the in-game action. Pitted against 50 fighters from the wild, each with different fighting styles, players will use their stylus for motion-based controls and defeat their enemies in the ring. Animal Boxing also allows creation of personalized male or female characters and box against opponents like Sauda the rhino, Fore the bull and Lee the cat in eight unique environments. Local multiplayer is also featured in the game where players can fight against another DSi user utilizing the local wireless connection.
The Seller sets players forth on a mission to lead their competitors to bankruptcy by quickly selling all the resources in a witty card game over a drink at an expensive club. The game depicts a character that was once in possession of good fortune but was forced into small time deals after driven into bankruptcy by a sneaky competitor. Gamers will start off with small amount of resources, money and action cards, and strategically advance to increase the value of their own resources.
Lastly, Mastertronic’s Alien Puzzle Adventure is a quick and colorful puzzle game with a cartoonish feel. The game blends Match 3 gameplay with a peculiarly funny storyline where players embark on a journey to save the world from an odd chemical attack. They must neutralize packs of differently colored quarks across 35 stages utilizing Professor Weinstein’s Pseudo-quark Generator Gun. Matching three quarks of the same color will deactivate them, this way stemming a tide and help the world from getting destroyed.
Glory Days – Tactical Defense is offered on DSiWare for 200 Nintendo DSi Points, while players keen to test their boxing skills against animals can do so in Animal Boxing for 800 Nintendo DSi Points. The Seller and Alien Puzzle Adventure both can be availed for 500 Nintendo DSi Points each this week via Nintendo’s DSiWare downloadable game service.
