Nintendo DSi XL coming to North America This Month
Back in November last year we reported that Nintendo would release its larger screen DSi in North America and Europe in the first quarter of 2010. The first quarter of this year is almost over and Nintendo has sent word of the North American release dates for its large screen DSi XL.

The DSi XL has two 4.2 inch screens which are 93 percent larger than those of the DS Lite. The larger screens provide a better viewing angle, making the console more social. Demonstrating the social nature of the new console, it will launch at the same time as two portable games which emphasize this. The two games are America’s Test Kitchen: Let’s Get Cooking and WarioWare: D.I.Y.
“For some people, good things come in big packages,” Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing exclaimed. “Our Nintendo DS family of systems has been going strong since 2004, and this new portable system really lets players enjoy the fun together.”
The Nintendo DSi XL has all the same features as the DSi system. This includes two cameras, as well as photo and sound manipulation tools. Using a broadband connection it is possible to upload photos directly to Facebook and download the latest DSiWare games and apps.
The Nintendo DSi XL will launch in North America on March 28, 2010 in Burgundy and Bronze with a glossy top and matte-finish bottom for added grip. It will come pre-installed with three titles including Brain Age Express: Math and Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, as well as Photo Clock. The DSi XL will be available for a suggested retail price of 189.99 USD (approx. Rs. 8,625).
