In October last year, we had revealed that Electronic Arts unveiled a new innovative book range known as FLIPS exclusively for the Nintendo DS system. Now the company brings Percy Jackson to the interactive FLIPS book series. With this inclusion, children are offered a brand new way to experience Rick Riordan’s famous mythological book series.
FLIPS Percy Jackson for the DS is set to comprise of all the five books present in the fantasy series titled Percy Jackson and the Olympians as well as two bonus titles. The stories follow the tales of a modern teenage Demigod whose father is the Greek God Poseidon while his mother a mere mortal. The titles espied in the FLIPS Percy Jackson collection include The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan’s Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth, The Last Olympian, The Demigod Files and Tales of the Greek Heroes by Roger Green.

The title comprises of many interactive features like letting readers gather coins strewn throughout the books. These coins can then be used in the bestiary which includes a database complete with information and photos about all the monsters in the novels. The coins spent in the Family Tree area also allow readers to espy information on the many Gods and Demigods. FLIPS Percy Jackson exploits the exclusive features of the Nintendo DS as owners can use the touchscreen to acquire character profiles, facts and challenging quizzes and DS stylus to flip through the pages, experience sound effects and animate links. The title also lets gamers swap sample chapters as well as unlock bonus content with friends via the DS wireless capabilities.
FLIPS Percy Jackson is expected to unveil next month with a price of £24.99 (approx. Rs.1,856).
