Mega Man Star Force 3 for Nintendo DS ships to North America, says Capcom

Mega Man Star Force 3 was released in Japan sometime in November of 2008. Now we have word that the gaming giant has shipped Mega Man Star Force 3 for the Nintendo DS, to retailers across North America. The action RPG comes in two different versions, Red Joker and Black Ace.

The story of Mega Man Star Force 3 depicts Geo Stelar as the protagonist; he can travel through the digital and physical world via the ‘wave roads’. Geo can merge with an electronic being called Omega-Xis to become Mega Man. An approaching gigantic meteor threatens to destroy both the physical and digital worlds unless Geo Stellar and his crew fight back. Thanks to the Noise Change system, Mega Man can battle enemies by changing into his Red Joker and Black Ace forms.

Combining elements from Mega Man games and Star Force system, the game provides an exciting mix of action and strategy. Players can improve Mega Man’s abilities and attack strength by earning battle cards which can be obtained by defeating the numerous bosses in the game.

New to the game are Noise changes which can unlock new abilities and enhance Mega Man’s form. There are over a 100 unique Noise Types in the two version of the game which can be combined to unlock earth, air, water and fire based elemental powers.

Mega Man Star Force 3, developed by Capcom, is available for the Nintendo DS across North America and comes at a suggested retail price of USD 29.99 (approx. Rs. 1440).
