Plants vs. Zombies coming to App Store in Late January 2010

Plants vs. Zombies is the tower defense video game from PopCap Games in which players must carefully place different types of plants in order to stop an advancing horde of zombies. Now Slide to Play is reporting that going by a post on the official PopCap Games Facebook account, an iPhone and iPod Touch version of Plants vs. Zombies will find itself on the Apple App Store in late January next year.

Plants vs. Zombies has various kinds of plants such as repeaters, potato mines, peashooters, cattails, hypno-mushrooms and more, each with their own offensive and defensive abilities. It takes careful planning and cunning strategy to keep the attacking zombies away from the player’s house. There are also various types of zombies with their own abilities.

PopCap games earlier posted on Facebook about a PopCap Apps sale beginning January 4, 2010, and in response to queries of whether Plants vs. Zombies would also be included in the sale, PopCap seems to have let slip PvZ would be out late Jan 2010.
