‘ngmoco’ will open a virtual pet shop on Apple’s App Store from where you can get Touch Pets: Dogs, their latest iPhone and iPod Touch title. ngmoco has created and published a series of games exclusively for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Touch Pets: Dogs is being developed by Andrew Stern of Stumptown Game Machine who is a virtual pet genre pioneer.
Touch Pets: Dogs brings together the joy of having a puppy and virtual play. The game features the connected interactivity of a fully-realized social network which has been made exclusively for iPhone and iPod Touch. The game is expected to be released in spring 2009 and will be exclusively for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
In Touch Pets Dogs, players can bring home, take care of and play with their virtual puppies via one-to-one touch screen interaction. They can even take their pups on outings with other players’ virtual dogs from all around the world, letting their pets make friends. The game environments allow pet owners and their pets to develop unique bonds with each other. The puppies continue to grow emotionally even when their owners are logged out and the results are beamed around the world for everyone to see.
Players can also dress their pets up in a variety of clothes, accessories and flood their pets with toys, grooming apparatus and other doggie stuff. Touch Pets: Dogs has a selection of five different dog breeds which can be trained to do a range of tasks. Players can even enlist their pets in one of five careers: Science, Rescue, Fashion, Crime-fighting and Political Paths and there are dozens of career missions for the pets to earn rewards.
ngmoco collaborates with Andrew Stern and Stumptown Game Machine to add stunning artificial intelligence to already impressive 3D animation. The title catapults the virtual pet genre to new grounds on the very portable iPhone and iPod Touch.
