Prope is an independent game development studio which is funded by Sega as part of a “support program for Independent Game Creators” and founded by former Sega designer Yuji Naka. Now Prope has announced that the company will publish the new action game titled ‘Ivy the Kiwi?’ on the Windows marketplace for Mobile.

The game is an innovative one, in which players don’t actually control the game’s heroine ‘Ivy’ directly. Instead, they indirectly help Ivy, leading her to her goal by drawing many ‘Vines’ on the touch screen with the stylus. Owing to the high specs of Windows phones, the game gives an antique feel of a picture book.

The game features 50 challenging stages and is packed with “speedrun” elements such as collecting all the red feathers bonus items. Players must help Ivy the Kiwi, who has been all alone since birth, find her mother.

Ivy the Kiwi? is the latest work to come from Yuji Naka of Prope, and is designed to deliver a simple and enjoyable experience, one which everyone wants to touch. Ivy the Kiwi? is scheduled to be released in December 2009, but prices have not been announced.
