I love playing games on my mobile phone. It’s just great to play them when you are stuck in the traffic. Well, all that is set to get more exciting as THQ has sent word that four multiplayer mobile games including Worms will appear on T-Mobile’s UK ‘Games LIVE’ service, from October 2007 onwards.
Adam Comiskey, THQ Wireless International VP said, “The Top Trumps series has time and again delivered classic competitive gameplay that has seen worldwide commercial success. Being able to bring the live entertainment of competitive elements to mobile games is the next step in consumer proposition for us.”
Sven Hålling is the chief executive officer of Terraplay. He says, “Worms Multiplayer is a game that we have wanted to get onto the Terraplay Global Gaming Network for a long time, and THQ has managed to reach a very good connected experience in both Worms and the Top Trumps games”.
Neil Holroyd, T-Mobile UK Games Manager quoted, “These are the first major online multiplayer games to on Games LIVE and offer T-Mobile customers addictively fun games and a gaming experience never before seen in the UK”

Games being offered to T-Mobile users include Top Trumps: Star Wars, Top Trumps: MotoGP, and Top Trumps Football Legends, offering the first major convergence of classic battle card games on mobile, providing mobile users with an opportunity to play online multiplayer gaming battles.
Now available on mobile in the UK for the first time with T-Mobile is the ever-popular and critically acclaimed Worms. Worms has offered millions of people worldwide with countless fun destroying their worm opponents with grenades, rocket launchers and other exciting weapons.
This new service will be powered by connected gaming service provider Terraplay, using their Global Gaming Network. It will offer in-game billing, community features and multiplayer connectivity. Also, the mobile games will appear on the Terraplay powered games community site, Games LIVE, on T-Mobile.
Well if you are wondering how much will the THQ mobiles games cost? Well, the games will be priced at £1 (approx. Rs. 80) and include the first 24 hours rental, after which, gamers can choose to rent for 1 day at £1 (approx. Rs. 80), 2 days at £2 (approx. Rs. 160) or a whole week for just £3 (approx. Rs. 240).
