World of Tanks is headed to the Xbox One now

Sometime during 2015, World of Tanks will be released for Microsoft’s new Xbox One console by publisher Wargaming. It will moreover, be blessed with cross-gen support, which means both Xbox 360 and Xbox One gamers will be able to play at once. This action-based MMO doesn’t have a proper release date for the Microsoft console as yet, but eager gamers can be pleased to know that at least it’s arriving this year.

The battle server of World of Tanks will be shared between both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles, and this will result in cross-platform play between owners of these machines. Moreover, it has also been revealed by the game’s developers that both systems will be seen sharing content updates and community members among themselves. Furthermore, user accounts will also be shared across consoles, allowing existing Xbox 360 players to carry over their progress and continue from where they had left off when they download the game on their Xbox Ones.
