WoW Pod Provides Ideal Setting for Diehard World of Warcraft Gamers

There have been several reports of World of Warcraft players suffering from various health conditions which result from playing hours over hours of the game, in the process neglecting sleep, hunger and proper hygiene. There have even been instances where WoW players have collapsed due to playing the game for too many hours. But Marisa Jahn, Steve Shada and Cati Vaucelle have dared to change that!

WoW Pod

Who are these people you ask? Well, Gizmodo is reporting that the three have built a WoW Pod for the ultimate World of Warcraft gaming experience. This WoW Pod comes complete with an integrated PC with surround sound, a hot plate, a water supply and a ceramic “throne”. The Pod’s hot plate is set to heat up whenever the player’s avatar cooks and the player’s status is changed to AFK when the meal is done being cooked. The “throne” doubles up as a toilet.

The three artists speaking about the WoW Pod say that it is an “immersive architectural solution for the advanced World of Warcraft player that provides and anticipates all of life’s needs”. The WoW Pod, which resembles an Orc’s hut, will be displayed at the MIT museum until September and needed a grant from an MIT Council for the Arts to complete.
