Borderlands and its DLC gets backwards compatibility on Xbox One

Among the games that are set to receive Xbox One backwards compatibility, Borderlands and all its DLC has just been added, according to a press release by Microsoft. While this title will be playable to all gamers later this year, it can already be enjoyed by all those who are part of the console’s special preview program.

The extremely anticipated backwards compatibility feature of the Xbox One will keep having more and more games added to its list. All those who own Borderlands will be able to play it on their machines, and even use their old save files; so that they can pick up from where they left off.

One of the main aspects of this game is its online multiplayer support for its trademark cooperative gameplay. It has been disclosed by Microsoft that you’ll be able to take advantage of this aspect by connecting to Xbox Live, and moreover, it won’t matter if your friends are playing Borderlands on the Xbox One or the Xbox 360 if you wish to connect with them.

The Xbox One backwards compatibility feature was unveiled by Microsoft in June this year, as a way for letting gamers jump into past titles on their new consoles for free. More than a hundred titles have been revealed to form part of the list that includes eligible games for this new trait. Moreover, additional offerings will keep being added to the list as well.
