Xbox 360 gets updated to support 2TB hard drives and more

With all those heavy updates being directed towards the Xbox One console on a constant basis, Microsoft has finally managed to find to time for the Xbox 360. It has blessed its last-gen console with a hefty new update, the prime feature of which is the ability to connect hard drives of up to 2TB in size. This feature will be pretty useful to those who own the 4GB variant of the gaming and entertainment system. Additionally, it could also result in the increase in sales of that particular model.

The new update that’s available all over the world right now allows you to plug in any external USB hard drive of up to 2TB in order to store your downloads, profile, saved games and other data. A new feature that has been infused into the upgraded software is the ability to easily view your purchase history. To do this, you just been to select the Purchase History option in the Accounts section of the Settings menu.

The new software even allows you to reset your password by selecting the ‘Forgot your password?’ option at sign-in. It adds a fresh network statistics screen that lets you view your download speed, upload speed and signal strength. It can be accessed by entering the System category of the Settings menu. Lastly, there’s the ability to easily see your Microsoft account balance in the top-right corner of the Dashboard.

The Xbox 360 was launched way back in 2006, and is still doing quite well if it is to be compared against the PS3. However, in terms of new-gen hardware, the PS4 is beating the Xbox One by huge margins.
