Facebook, Zune and others unfurl onto the Xbox 360

Just last week we had reported that the next wave of social entertainment would soon debut on the Xbox Live. That faithful day has finally arrived. Xbox 360 owners can now gain access to Facebook, Last.fm, Twitter and Zune video with instant-on HD.

Xbox Live members can now update their status and connect to friends through their gaming console. They can even view their status updates, Facebook stream and pictures which are specially customized for the Xbox 360. Friends lists on Facebook and Xbox Live can even be compared to espy who all are on Xbox Live.

Zune video on Xbox Live provides members with instant-on HD in 1080p and 5.1 channel surround sound with just a click of the button. Via Avatar integration and voice chat, up to seven friends can get in together on all the action. Members can now find, post and reply to tweets through their Xbox 360 system itself. They can also view friend profiles, conversations and trends while searching for any tweets emerging on their favorite game.

Loads of music and personalized radio stations are offered to Xbox 360 users by Last.fm. They can stir up their ideal mix and can take advantage of the special Gamer Stations which are belt out music that is game-related and fashioned especially for the gaming terrain. This feature can be espied in the United States and United Kingdom.
