Having already bagged the record for the biggest entertainment launch in history so far, the Grand Theft Auto IV franchise keeps on going with The Lost and Damned. The game overshadowed all previous downloadable content for first day revenue on the Xbox Live.
The week before the add-on’s launch saw a number of active users higher than that for any other game add-on. The Grand Theft Auto IV DLC features gameplay of over 10 hours and has been extremely well-received from gamers as well as critics with its rich storyline and content.
Marc Whitten, the general manager of Xbox Live cared to comment saying, “The success of Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned redefines what consumers expect from game add-ons. Content like this is extending the lives of our favorite games and fundamentally changing the way we play.”
Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned follows a different character Johnny Klebitz as he leads the motorcycle club ‘The Lost’. Set in Liberty City, The Lost and Damned is packed with action and rowdy adventure, new weapons, new music, new missions and a multiplayer mode.
Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned is available for download on Xbox Live and costs 1600 Microsoft Points. The add-on is an Xbox 360 exclusive and players must have the Grand Theft Auto IV game.
