The Griffins are heading to Xbox LIVE! Yes, Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris and notorious Stewie are all set to make their first appearance on the Xbox Live service on September 3, 2007 as a deal between 20th Century Fox and Microsoft has officially been struck after rumors galore.

Fox's Family Guy

Still don’t know what we are talking about? Well, the first two seasons of America’s most loved animated TV show ‘Family Guy’ will be available for downloads on Xbox 360’s Live service.

In fact, this show represents the very first Fox product to make it onto Microsoft’s gaming console.

Beginning Monday, Xbox 360 owners will be able to purchase each of the episodes from the first two seasons as well as the straight-to-DVD film “Family Guys Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story” for 160 Microsoft Points or roughly $2.

According to Jamie McCabe, executive VP at 20th Century Fox: “This is our first one. We hope to have other content on there, but right now with the launch of ‘Halo3’ and the launch of the new season of ‘Family Guy’ coming out, the timing really worked well for this one.”

Considering the fact that Family Guy has a huge audience not only in the US (yes, we in India too rent Family Guy DVDs often), we are sure that downloads of the same via Xbox Live will do really well too!
