Bill Gates Loses Virtual Football Match Against Mexican Player Rafael Marquez

Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates lost a virtual football match against Mexican and FC Barcelona player Rafael Marquez. He was defeated 2-1 by the centre-half in front of the Microsoft Mexico employees and other invited guests. When asked whether he really dared take on the challenge before the game started, he replied, “I wouldn’t bet all of my money on it.”

Gates had visited Mexico to celebrate Microsoft’s 20th anniversary in the country. He also signed accords with Mexico City and federal officials, which were meant for using technology to increase competence in business and government and improve health care and education.

Bill Gates also gifted an Xbox video game console to Rafael Marquez, who in turn presented him with a signed professional football T-shirt.
