The release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is not too far away now, and its promotions are already underway, even as Sony has unveiled a bunch of its devices that will be sold as limited edition products bearing the game’s branding. These gadgets include two Walkman devices, two tablets and a smartphone.
First among the lot is the super expensive Sony Walkman NW-ZX2 which bears Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s logo on its front surface. It comes equipped with a leather case bearing the Outer Heaven mercenary group’s logo, while other aspects of it include pre-installed wallpapers, some MGS music and original packaging. It has its price set at ¥140000 (approx $1125 or Rs 73450).
Next is the less expensive Sony NW-A16 Walkman which will be sold at ¥28000 (approx $225 or Rs 14690). It does not bear the Metal Gear V logo on its front, but does carry the Outer Heaven logo on its back panel. Wallpapers, music and other things carry over from the above mentioned model.
Among the tablets from this range are the Xperia Z4 Tablet and Z3 Tablet Compact which have been priced at ¥84400 (approx $678 or Rs 42300) and ¥59600 (approx $480 or Rs 31260), respectively. They come with custom cases and other goodies packed into their boxes.
Last among the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain branded products from Sony is the Xperia J1 Compact smartphone. There’s a Outer Heaven logo on its back panel, while all other goodies remain the same. It costs ¥59800 (approx $485 or Rs 31400).
These Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain products will arrive in Japan on September 2, which is just a day after the game’s global release.
