Gamers in Europe will now be able to buy for themselves a pink colored model of the new Nintendo 2DS handheld gaming console. This device will be released in the said region on May 16. It will be launched alongside Kirby: Triple Deluxe which is to see the return of the beloved character after years of absence.
This new 2DS model comes dressed in a combination of pink and white colors. Nintendo has revealed that a silver carrying case for the gaming device will also be released on the same day. The new 2DS model will cost £109.99 in the UK.
Launched in October last, this piece of hardware maintains all the main aspects of the 3DS console and stacks them onto a uni-body design. However, the unique stereoscopic 3D attributes of the main device haven’t been included on it, as its name suggests. Although it appears to hold two different touchscreen displays, it actually occupies only one panel which is divided in the middle by the handheld’s body.
Along with the new pink 2DS, Kirby: Triple Deluxe will also be launched in Europe on May 16. Developed by HAL Laboratory, it is the thirteenth platform installment from the Kirby franchise. This game is already out in Japan since January, and has managed to sell more than 400,000 copies there alone.
Like we said, the pink 2DS model will be sold by Nintendo at £109.99 when it’s out next month.
