Level 10 M Gaming Mouse Revealed by Thermaltake and BMW Group DesignWorksUSA

A group effort between BMW Group’s subsidiary DesignworksUSA and Thermaltake has apparently resulted in the inception of a design concept for a series of gaming accessories, and the Level 10 M gaming mouse is the first product of this partnership. Although very few details are out currently, this peripheral has been confirmed to be ready for a spring 2012 release.

By the looks of it, the hardware seems to be sitting on an optical sensor. And since its high-end a gaming mouse, we’d expect its DPI to be lingering somewhere around 6400. Its hollow body architecture forms a major part of its unique design. This mouse’s silver colored lower body is complemented well by its black upper body and the red light coming from its sensor is surely adding a nice touch to its entire appearance.

The last time this partnership between Thermaltake and BMW Group DesignWorksUSA was in the news, it was during the unveiling of the the Level 10 modular PC case. Built on an asymmetrical balance design, this machine comes equipped with various technologies like the Smart-lock Security System which allows users to lock the tower so as to secure their modules. Its open compartment architecture possesses individually encased system components that can easily be added or removed.

With the new gaming mouse, the competition seems to be directed at Mad Catz’ ultra-customizable R.A.T. 7 products. This range includes metal-bodied peripherals that offer a wide array of customization settings including options for weight, thumb rests, pinkie rests, palm rests and more.

The Level 10 M gaming mouse will be released by Thermaltake and BMW Group DesignWorksUSA in the spring of this year. No word is out yet about either the specs or the pricing of this peripheral.
