Ouya Ends Kickstarter Dream Run, New Details

8,596,475 USD is the final figure at which the Ouya Kickstarter campaign came to a close earlier today. The Android-based console had a phenomenal run on the crowd-funding website considering that it had asked for a goal of just 950,000 USD.

The image we’ve embedded above gives a fair idea about what the console’s size will be. Its controllers too are quite tiny as compared to the Dualshocks and Xbox 360 controllers. Additionally, it was announced recently that the device will feature support for four controllers. And it has even come to light that Namco Bandai Games has shown interest in the console. Specific titles which the publisher plans to release for it are still to be revealed however.

These past days, the makers of the console also disclosed information about some popular programs that will be available on the console. iHeartRadio, ‘the all-in-one’ free digital radio experience will be supported by this hardware, while the XBMC media player will also be compatible with the device, and so will TuneIn.
