Graphics Plus Zotac GeForce series graphics cards are Windows 7 WHQL certified

Zotac International, the manufacturer of mother boards and graphics cards, has revealed that its lineup of Graphics Plus Zotac GeForce series graphics cards is WHQL certified and compatible with Microsoft’s yet to be released Windows 7 operating system.

New DirectX Compute technology for GPUs harnesses the the Zotac GeForce graphics cards which are Graphics Plus compatible. The DirectX Compute technology helps to accelerate applications built into the new Windows 7, by using the Zotac GeForce series cards.

“Zotac is excited for Windows 7 with DirectX Compute technology. For the first time ever, users can instantly take advantage of hardware accelerated video transcoding natively in Windows 7 with the built-in drag-and-drop video conversion utility using their Graphics Plus compatible Zotac GeForce series graphics card and DirectX Compute technology,” stated Carsten Berger, marketing director, Zotac International.

Nvidia Cuda technology is supported for broad compatibility with C, OpenCL, Java, Python and other GPU accelerated standards. The Zotac GeForce series graphics cards also deliver high frame-rates in demanding games, and extremely quick video transcoding which is hardware accelerated. Windows aero, an enhanced Windows 7 user interface, is fully compatible with the Graphics Plus ready Zotac GeForce series graphics cards.

“Microsoft introduced a hardware accelerated user interface with Windows Vista, now with Windows 7, the user interface has been improved with greater 3D visuals, effects and now takes greater advantage of Zotac GeForce series graphics cards,” Carsten Berger further added.

The Zotac GeForce series graphics cards, which are compatible with Graphics Plus, also utilise a new anti-aliasing Nvidia API technology which provides font-smoothing functions in Windows 7, leading to better looking fonts.
