Remember how popular those G.I. Joe figures were? Well, Microsoft too wants to epitomize the Halo culture. They have gotten into an agreement with McFarlane Toys, who will produce action figures based on the hit video game series.
These Halo characters will be made into action figures:
And if McFarlane make the action figures, they will need something to ride on. So, Warthog, Chopper and Ghost will also be made into action vehicles. It will be made from die cast metal/plastic and will measure 3-1/2 inches. The vehicles will also have their own custom bases.
Todd McFarlane, CEO, McFarlane Toys remarked, “Halo is one of the top video game franchises of all time. We get to put our company’s touch on a sci-fi classic that is visually and thematically dazzling. Through its gameplay, Halo has been able to attract a very large and loyal audience, most of who happen to be our clientele as well, which makes this an excellent partnership.”
The Halo action figures will be available in Spring 2008. Just last week we had announced Microsoft would come out with Halo Accessories. Halo 3 is expected to release on September 25, 2007.
