It has been revealed by Microsoft that the recently released 2.5D platform racer, Trials Evolution has set a record for the highest grossing day-one sales in Xbox Live Arcade history. Exact numbers were not disclosed by Microsoft, but developer RedLynx made it known through its Twitter feed that the game managed to trade off more than 100,000 copies in the span of twenty four hours.
This offering presents players with physics-based racing that takes place across a range of track types and environments. Multiplayer features as well as a track editor aimed at enhancing community play, both form part of the title. It was released through Xbox Live on April 18 under Microsoft’s Arcade Next promotional program which also features three other titles, namely Bloodforge, Fable Heroes and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.

This game’s predecessor, Trials HD, was launched via Xbox Live in 2009, and proffered players with puzzle as well as racing elements through its single-player offerings. Along with these two games, RedLynx has also developed another much loved platform racer named Moto Heroz, which recently found its way into our collection of 8 Wii driving games.
Trials Evolution can now be purchased through Xbox Live in exchange of 1,200 Microsoft Points.
