Microsoft E3 Press Conference Part 1: Halo 4, Gears of War: Judgment and More

The most anticipated gaming extravaganza of the year is finally underway, and we’re bringing you each and every detail regarding the first major event – the Microsoft E3 press conference. An all new Halo 4 trailer has hit the block with its focus on the much touted Infinity multiplayer. And Gears of War: Judgment has been officially unveiled with a trailer which can be spotted below.

First and foremost, let’s start with the next Halo game. Scheduled to release on November 6 this year, 343 Industries’ latest outing will be kicking in the Infinity multiplayer trait that would also comprise Spartan Ops. The latter feature is claimed to be a blend of immersive storytelling, high-quality cinematics and action-packed gameplay.

As we predicted, the next Gears of War game has turned out to be a prequel to the trilogy. It will revolve around the Kilo Squad led by Damon Baird and Augustus ‘The Cole Train’ Cole. Various new multiplayer features have been promised, with the highlight being a class-based competitive mode named OverRun that will pit the Locust and COG soldiers against each other in head-to-head battles.

Microsoft’s Kinect peripheral too was hogging the limelight throughout the Microsoft E3 press conference, with the newly announced Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist and the delayed South Park: The Stick of Truth having been confirmed to feature Kinect voice-recognition support. We’ll have more on both the titles soon. Also jumping on the Kinect bandwagon were EA Sports’ Madden NFL 2013 and FIFA 2013.
