The adventures of Mario roped in fans from almost every age group during the 80s and the 90s. Owing to its astonishing fan-following, in 1993 Nintendo decided to transform the Super Mario Bros video game into a movie. Now, The Examiner has revealed that the Super Mario Bros movie is being re-released on DVD.
One of the first of its kind, the film depicted a unique blend of real action with animation. However, the audience was not very pleased with the portrayal. Tracing the journey of Mario and his brother Luigi, the movie starred Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo in the respective roles. In 2003, it was released in a DVD format but apparently, the conversion from the big screen to the disc format had several glitches.
The cover art of the new DVD appears the same as its predecessor with few minor changes. We are not sure if this version of the movie will succeed in spelling the original Mario magic. But, fans of the popular video game who have still not watched the film can now lay their hands on this cover. We’ve not yet heard about the availability and pricing details of the film.
