Coming to North America on August 31, 2010, Japan on September 2, 2010 and Europe on September 3, 2010, Dead Rising 2 pumps in more zombie-slaying action. Microsoft and Capcom will team up to provide and exclusive downloadable Dead Rising 2 prologue, only on Xbox Live. Also, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, one of largest entertainment launches in history, will receive some exclusive game add-ons for Xbox 360 owners, including a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 content pack coming first on Xbox Live in the spring.
“This is going to be an amazing year for Xbox 360 and for gamers worldwide. It’s our biggest and most breakthrough year yet, filled with games and entertainment that you won’t find on any other console,” Phil Spencer, corporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios said. “I’m floored on a daily basis with what the ‘Crackdown 2’ team is doing, and Bungie is proving the impossible possible by eclipsing even its own untouchable standards with ‘Halo: Reach.’ I can’t wait to jump on Xbox LIVE with some friends to amp up our Gamerscores in co-op or talk a little trash to fuel some friendly competition.”
The Microsoft 2010 line-up also includes Crackdown 2, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction, Lost Planet 2, Fable III, a Left 4 Dead 2 game add-on, Perfect Dark, Scrap Metal and Microsoft’s own Game Room. Ruffian Games’ Crackdown 2 coming later in the year comes with a pre-order bonus, while Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction touches down in North America on April 13, 2010, in the UK on April 16, 2010 and in Japan on April 28, 2010. The Game Room will launch this March.
