Technology writer Hiroshige Goto had reveled information just recently about Sony’s next generation gaming plans. Now he has shifted his attention towards the Nintendo company. According to andriasang, Intel wants to integrate its latest processor called Larrabee into Nintendo’s upcoming gaming console.
As Goto states on Impress Watch, Intel is trying to get Nintendo to utilize their latest graphics processor known as the Larrabee into the company’s next gaming console. If you take the timing of the approach by Intel into consideration, then the Intel chip may be used with a true next generation system instead of the Wii HD system which according to rumors, state a 2010 release.
Hiroshige Goto discloses only these selected bits of information but however also reveals that Nintendo’s more conservative outlook would be conflicted with the inclusion of the Larrabee. Apparently Nintendo would encounter many problems like architecture compatibility costs and power consumption among others.
