Mad Catz acquire license for Sonic game accessories

Mad Catz Interactive is a renowned peripherals manufacturer who has a varied line up of interesting game accessories to its name in the form of memory cards, connection cables and control pads. The company released a wide array of fightSticks which portray the artwork of Street Fighter IV and more recently a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Arcade FightStick.

Sonic Sega Mad Catz

It is now revealed that Mad Catz has entered into an agreement with Sega of America. This agreement gives the company the rights to manufacture branded videogame merchandise and accessories based on its beloved character Sonic the Hedgehog. The mutual understanding between the two bigwigs allows Mad Catz to gain access to a variety of accessories for all the present videogame systems.

Sonic the Hedgehog first revealed his blue head in the acclaimed franchise back in 1991. The beloved character is also recognized as the mascot of Sega. The creation credit of the blue critter goes to artist Naoto Oshima, programmer Yuji Naka and designer Hirokazu Yashuhara.
