Hideo Kojima Aims To Make a Kick Ass Zombie Video Game

Kojima Productions chief, Hideo Kojima has disclosed that he wants to make an out-of-the-ordinary online multiplayer zombie game. He is very ecstatic about the zombie game and wants to make it very realistic, but different from other zombie games.

Hideo Kojima on zombie game

Hideo Kojima said, “The zombie idea I have is a bit different. Imagine a large town where half the inhabitants are zombies. Gamers would subscribe, get inside the town and get bitten. At that stage they become undead and cannot control their character – all they can do is modify the camera angles. They would see their character attacking humans and have to pay just to watch! The only way they could end it is by opening another account, hunting them down and killing themselves. Of course, the problem is that your second character can be bitten as well.”

Hideo Kojima is presently working on Metal Gear Solid 4 for Sony. The online zombie game idea does seem a little weird; why would anyone pay to get bit, and even if you are bitten, it’s really stupid to pay to watch the game. If your role changes to that of a zombie, that would be awesome, but not doing anything and just watching can make the game play very boring.

It’s obvious what he’s aiming for. He never mentioned ANYTHING about paying for an alternate account. Generally, you pay a subscription fee for a Live, or Online account that’s applicable to all online-oriented games. Then, WITHIN the games, you may house multiple accounts, and sign on to your Live/Online handle via harddrive.

So he’s not saying your paying for nothing… He’s saying that if you’re a TRUE gamer, and REALLY know the fundementals of building a proper game, you’d be wise NOT to get bit… It’s not implying that you’d have to pay for a second login just to kill your previous one and reclaim control over it.

So yeah, I think Kojima’s just as much of a genius as Inafune, in the sense that he’s trying to capture authenticity that will appeal to many ENLIGHTENED and OPEN-MINDED gamers, as opposed to douche-bags like yourself.
