Last week, it had emerged that Gamecock was planning to set up base in the United Kingdom. Now, MCV is reporting that one more video gaming giant, Bethesda Softworks also has plans to set up a European division. There are speculations that Bethesda wants a headquarter in London.
It seems that the developer and publisher of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion has big plans to conquer Europe as they have snapped up gaming industry veteran Sean Brennan, who will be heading the European Division of Bethesda Softworks. They are recruiting staff and there are rumors that Brennan’s Virgin Interactive colleagues, Greg Baverstock and Christina Camerota are joining him at Bethesda Europe.
Many big gaming firms are heading to Europe and the trend will keep on growing as Europe is a very big market and is comparable to North America and Japan. There is also a growing trend amongst video gaming companies heading to Asia.
