Tony Jay, whose voice has played a major part in the World Of Warcraft lost his battle against cancer. Jay had entered micro surgery to get rid of a non-cancerous tumor in his lungs, where it was believed he could completely recover from the surgery, despite serious vital signs following the medical procedure. He is survived by his wife Marta and his son Adam.
Besides World Of War, Tony Jay had lent his voice to Elder God in the Legacy of Kain series. He was also the narrator of the Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and the voice of Megabyte in the CG-animated series ReBoot. He will be laid to rest this Saturday i.e. August 19, 2006 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Hollywood, California.
