Homefront: The Revolution getting a frame-rate fix soon

Homefront: The Revolution is out now for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC, but it seems to be suffering from some serious frame-rate issues on the two consoles. As a result of this, the makers of this open world first person shooter have announced that a fix for this problem will be released soon.

Dambuster Studios has admitted that the frame-rate of Homefront: The Revolution is ‘not currently where we want it to be’ and has said that future patches will indeed be addressing this. Among the two console versions, the Xbox One version of the game has apparently been found to be better at performance than the PS4 edition, but both of them still suffer from frame-rate drops.

Homefront: The Revolution was released earlier this month to not so favourable reviews. While its setting and overall aesthetics were appreciated, its gameplay and story were reportedly found to be repetitive and generic.

This title has just received its first batch of free content, and it includes customization pieces like a duo of punk and anarchist outfits which can be found in the clothing menu. Moreover, the developers are also giving Homefront: The Revolution players two bonus Hail Mary boosters that can be accessed via the consumables inventory.

This new game acts as a sequel to the original Homefront that was outed back in 2011. The new game takes place in 2029, and follows protagonist Ethan Brady on his quest to stage a resistance movement against the North Korean army which has invaded the city of Philadelphia.

There’s no particular release date for the frame-rate-fixing patch of Homefront: The Revolution, but we can expect it to arrive in the weeks to come.
