Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is headed to the PS3 and Xbox 360 after all

Many believed that this year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be giving old-gen consoles like the PS3 and the Xbox 360 a miss, but that won’t be the case, as it will indeed be released for them. Those who own the Nintendo Wii U be disappointed by the fact that Activision has no interest in bringing this game to the said platform.

When it was revealed for the first time, the PS4, the Xbox One and PC were disclosed to be the only three platforms Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was supposed to be launched for. However, Activision has now confirmed that versions for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 are currently under development from Beenox and Mercenary Technology.

All the main aspects of the game will be accessible through on last-gen consoles including its campaign mode, its multiplayer modes and the famous zombies mode. However, just two-player cooperative play will be allowed in the last-gen versions of the game instead of the four-player co-op mode of the new-gen consoles.
