Call of Duty: Ghosts minimum PC specs step forward

There’s good news for those hoping to purchase Call of Duty: Ghosts for PC when it is launched later this year. Minimum specifications needed from the said platform to run the game properly have been revealed by developer Infinity Ward through a new blog post. The highlight among them definitely has to be the amount of memory this Call of Duty game is set to gobble up. 40GB worth of hard disk space and 6GB of RAM have been disclosed as minimum requirements.

While Windows XP support is out of the question, Windows Vista too has been given a miss by Infinity Ward. This means 64-bit versions of Windows 7 or Windows 8 will be required to run the game. In terms of processing power, Call of Duty: Ghosts will ask for a minimum of 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 CPU or a 2.4GHz AMD Phenom X3 8750 CPU.

Coming to the graphics cards, the Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 or the ATI Radeon HD 5870 will be needed to run the title at its minimum best. Other than that, DirectX 11 will need to be installed on your systems of course. Call of Duty: Ghosts is this year’s entry to the popular annual series, and it’s also the first next-gen CoD game. It will be released for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on November 5.

On the other hand, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will be out on the dates on which the respective consoles will be launched. Apart from single-player offerings, it will also feature online-focused multiplayer gameplay which has become a staple for the series.
