In partnership with Aspyr Media, Bethesda Softworks has announced the launch of Rage: Campaign Edition which can now be purchased for Mac systems. Released as a digital download, this game is being offered in English, French and German languages through Apple’s Mac App Store, Aspyr’s GameAgent.com and other supporting Mac digital retailers.
Apart from the original game which was launched back in October last year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, this edition will also comprise contents that was previously exclusive only to its Anarchy Edition. A Double Barrel Shotgun, the Rat Rod Buggy, Fists of Rage and Crimson Elite Armor are the bonus items that form part of this version. Moreover, gamers who download the title will also be seen receiving access to the Wasteland Sewers Missions which include additional gameplay and looting opportunities.
“Aspyr has been a great partner, bringing id Software’s games to the Mac platform for years. We’ve worked closely with them again to offer the amazing graphics and intense combat that Rage is famous for to Mac gamers,” shared Todd Hollenshead, President of id Software.
The offering is developed id Software, which is the studio behind the immensely successful Doom and Quake franchises. Apart from being a first person shooter, it also treads upon the vehicle combat genre and offers an huge and exportable open world.
