Based in a typical US suburb used to demonstrate the effects of a nuclear weapon on a residential area, the Nuketown map in CoD: Black Ops swiftly managed to become the most played map in the game. Such was its popularity, that most of the title’s double XP events contained a multiplayer playlist named Nuketown 24/7, which allowed gamers to play all modes exclusively on said map.

“Multiplayer fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops LOVE Nuketown. Flat out, Nuketown was a blast to play before, and we’re excited about the reimagined Nuketown 2025 in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. We can’t wait to play with everyone come this November,” touted Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch.

Slated to arrive for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 13 this year, CoD: Black Ops II is a direct sequel to the initial title which had managed to set the record for the biggest entertainment launch in history.
