Halo 4 Unveiled at E3, reimagined Combat Evolved on its Way

Last year was more than just spectacular as some of the most anticipated games paved way into the domain. Microsoft unfolded the next chapter in its popular Halo series as Reach hit stores for the Xbox 360. Nonetheless, something was spotted on Paul Ereth’s profile which not just caught our attention but set a string of rumors about the next Halo iteration even before Reach saw the light of day.

According to a post on the official Xbox Community blog, Microsoft has uncovered at the E3 2011 that Halo 4 is indeed in the making. A trailer at the company’s press conference confirmed the coming of the next installment in the franchise. 343 Industries will be taking over as a developer instead of Bungee as the gaming giant unleashes a new trilogy while continuing Master Chief’s saga.

The blog also informs us about the upcoming Halo: Combat Evolved anniversary. On this occasion, the company will release a remastered version of the game as it accomplishes ten successful years in the terrain. The upgraded visuals are said to infuse a new breathe of life into gameplay with innovative challenges and some reimagined maps for the Xbox Live.

Halo: Combat Evolved will complete a decade in the realm on November 15 this year. The next installment in the series namely Halo 4 is expected to hit stores in 2012. We are now looking forward to hearing more from Microsoft at the E3.
